Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Specter Parts website or placing an order. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Specter Parts
Specter Parts is an automotive parts sourcing and fulfillment intermediary based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We identify, source, and arrange delivery of automotive parts on behalf of our customers through a network of Canadian and US suppliers.
We are not a manufacturer, distributor, or retailer in the traditional sense — we operate as a sourcing broker. These Terms govern your use of specterparts.ca and any related services.
2. Our Services
When you submit a quote request, we source the requested parts from our supplier network and return a detailed quote within 24 hours. Each part is assigned a fitment confidence rating — Tier A (Guaranteed Fit) through Tier D (Verify First) — based on OEM specifications and fitment databases.
We do not guarantee availability. If a part cannot be sourced at an acceptable quality or price, we will inform you before proceeding.
3. Ordering & Payment
All orders begin with a quote request. When you accept a quote and proceed to checkout, Specter Parts uses a two-step payment model:
Authorization (hold): At checkout, the quoted amount — including applicable taxes and any pre-calculated import duties — is authorized on your payment card. This places a hold on the funds but does not charge you.
Capture (charge): Your card is charged only when we receive confirmation from our supplier that your order has been placed and accepted. This typically occurs within 4 business hours of your order being submitted.
If we are unable to source your parts at the quoted price or to an acceptable standard, the authorization is released in full and your card is never charged. Authorizations that are not captured expire automatically within 7 days.
Specter Parts does not collect, store, or process payment card data. All cardholder data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. We never see your card number.
4. Pricing, Taxes & Import Duties
All prices are quoted and invoiced in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Applicable federal and provincial taxes (GST, HST, or QST) are calculated based on the shipping destination and shown on your invoice before payment is collected.
For parts sourced from US suppliers, Canadian import duties and customs brokerage fees are calculated and included in your quoted price. There are no additional charges assessed at the border.
5. Returns & Cancellations
You may request a return within 30 days of confirmed delivery. Eligibility depends on the part's fitment tier:
Tier A — If a part does not fit due to a verified specification error on our part, we will coordinate the return with the supplier and issue a full refund at no cost to you.
Tier B / C — Assessed case-by-case. We will advocate on your behalf with the sourcing partner to reach a fair resolution.
Tier D — All sales are final unless the part delivered is materially different from what was described in your invoice.
The following are excluded from all returns regardless of tier: installed or used parts; consumables including filters, fluids, belts, and gaskets; parts that have been modified or physically damaged after delivery.
To initiate a return, email info@specterparts.ca with your order reference and a description of the issue within the 30-day window.
6. Limitation of Liability
Specter Parts acts as a sourcing intermediary and is not responsible for: manufacturing defects in parts supplied by third-party vendors; compatibility issues resulting from incorrect vehicle information provided by the customer; delays caused by customs authorities, carriers, or supplier stock disruptions.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to an order shall not exceed the amount paid for the affected part(s) as shown on the relevant invoice.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use our services to: submit fraudulent quote requests or provide false payment information; resell parts sourced through Specter Parts without our prior written consent; attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent, or disrupt our platform or systems.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The current version, including its effective date, is always available at specterparts.ca/terms. Continued use of our services after a revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Quebec.
